On PBS, Dr Percy Julian's life story was told. The first African American chemist of national fame in the US, he patented over 100 inventions that helped make many many pharmaceuticals we all use every day and has thus saved many lives.

He got only 1 dollar for each patent!

When you contrast his generosity and hard work with the criminal greediness of CEOs of banks and insurance companies we are seeing today, it drives me insane.

As an engineer for Texas Instruments, I too took my $1 per patent -- and don't even remember getting that. And I was grateful for the learning experience from my company.

I have absolutely no sympathy for the CEOs and Wallstreet bankers who screwed up to the tune of trillions of dollars and still expect to get $10M bonuses. Who do these scum think they are? Where do they think they get their entitlement to wealth?

Clearly these people cannot be trusted. CEOs regulate engineer salaries, but who regulates CEO salaries? The boards of directors are appointed by the CEOs because of the goofy way publicly held companies work -- without control of anyone but the CEOs.

If the government doesn't regulate CEO compensation, who will? I have written all of my state representatives in congress. All these Republic dimwits do is ignore the issue. These fools caused this problem. It's like they are in love with fire and are happy to let it burn their houses down around them.

Capitalism and anarchy are not the same things. Yet Republicans have defended anarchy by defending a capitalistic free-for-all.

Please regulate these criminal CEOs before the pigs eat us out of house and home.

Thank you,
